Balancing Agriculture and Conservation In Florida's Everglades

U.S. Sugar is part of a large sugar growing community south of Lake Okeechobee.

Environmentalist are interested in their land, some of which they want for everglades restoration.

Judy Sanchez, spokesperson for U.S. Sugar joins the program to talk about balancing the needs of agriculture and the environment, and 90.7’s Amy Green discusses some of the concerns environmentalists have with sugar farming in the everglades.
